Manslamming

(Manslamming)

This term was coined by Jessica Roy, a writer for the New York magazine, after an experiment with Beth Braslaw. When walking in public spaces, she noticed that if she did not move to give way to the men walking by, they crashed into them. Men rarely moved aside to avoid collapse.

The term refers to men’s appropriation of public spaces, to the point that they crash against women when they cross their path.
