To address this, MODII introduces Diatopix, This is a powerful tool developed by the University of Montreal that you can use to learn about the geographic variations of certain words.
How does it work?
- In the browser, enter a word or expression that you wish to compare. For example, gay and homosexual.
- The tool uses Google’s custom search engine and it shows you the frequency of use in different countries.
- Choose the one that best fits your communication-related situation.
